Data Deletion Policy (Compliant with GDPR)
At Shoefootprint.com, we are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this policy explains the processes we have in place for users to delete their accounts and how data deletion requests can be made.
1. Option for Users to Delete Their Accounts
If you are a registered user, you have the ability to delete your account at any time through your user settings. This will permanently remove your personal data from our system, including any information shared via Facebook or other third-party platforms.
To delete your account, follow the instructions in our guide:
Account > settings > delete my account.
2. Data Deletion by Admin (For Non-Users)
If you are unable to delete your account directly, or if your account was created without direct user registration (e.g., through Facebook login), you can submit a request for data deletion.
To do so, contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO) by sending an email to:
help@shoefootprint.com
In your request, please provide the following information:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with the account
- Details of the specific data or account you wish to delete
Upon receipt of your request, we will process it within 30 days, in compliance with GDPR regulations. We may request additional information to verify your identity.
3. Facebook Data Removal
If you have used Facebook to register or log in to our website, you can request the removal of any data shared between Shoefootprint.com and Facebook. You can revoke access via your Facebook settings, and this will stop further data sharing. To ensure all related data is deleted from our system, please follow our account deletion process or submit a request for data deletion.
